Google List of The 1000 most-visited sites on the web

Google have put up a web site for top 1000 highest traffic web site in the world. Although you can see some of the top 10 web site are from China, we do have a good mix of blog who made it to this list.

  • #246 – The Huffington Post – 12 million Uniques
  • #434 – Engadget – 8,1 Million Uniques
  • #540 – Gizmodo – 6.7 Million Uniques
  • #696 – Mashable – 5.6 Million Uniques
  • #850 – TechCrunch – 4.7 Million Uniques

According to Google, this is how the statistic are based on:

Traffic statistics are estimated by combining sample user data from various Google products and services and opt-in direct-measured site-centric data. In addition, site owners may opt-in direct measured Google Analytics traffic statistics to provide a more accurate measure of their site traffic. Sites that have opted-in direct measured Google Analytics data are indicated through the footnote “Google Analytics data shared by publisher”.

New Alternative to IPad – Dell Streak

If you are not an Apple Fanboy, you might want to consider an alternative to Apple ipad. Dell has made its entry into the tablet market official today and we can now expect to see the 3G enabled smartphone and tablet in the UK as early as June and later this summer in the US.

The Dell Streak runs a customized version of Google’s Android mobile operating system, allowing multitouch gestures and adding “Dell user interface enhancements.” It also has access to the nearly 40,000 applications on the Android Marketplace, Microsoft Exchange connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation with Google Maps, and support for Google Voice.

Google TV

We’ve been curious about the Google TV initiative  since hearing about the search giant’s foray into set-top box land, and although scant few details have emerged since then we can now look forward to a full reveal at next month’s I/O Developer Conference.

According to The Wall Street Journal, Google (Google) will unveil the Android (Android)-based television platform at its annual developer event in San Francisco on May 19 and 20.

With Google entering the TV media, i wouldn’t be surprised to see we can actually post our Google ads onto TV network.
